We have a 99% success rate in helping members lower their A1C in 3-4 months, often while reducing or eliminating some (or all) of their medications!
I have “Pre-Diabetes” or “Borderline Diabetes”. Is this suitable for me?
Absolutely! By the time a person’s A1C creeps into the Pre-Diabetic range of 5.7 – 6.5, they’ve likely been developing insulin resistance for YEARS. Pre-Diabetes is simply a less-progressed stage of Type 2 Diabetes. Both conditions share the same root cause and, therefore, share the same solution.
Left unchecked, people with Pre-Diabetes tend to develop full-blown Type 2 Diabetes…so why wait any longer to turn this around?!
I’ve had diabetes for over 20 years. Will this work for me?
It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been struggling with diabetes for months, years or DECADES—remission from Type 2 Diabetes is entirely possible with the right approach. We’ll teach you the most powerful, science-based strategies to repair your blood sugar & A1C naturally inside The T2T Program.
I also have high cholesterol and/or high blood pressure. Is this safe for me?
Having Type 2 Diabetes is the #1 risk factor for heart disease. By repairing your blood sugar & A1C, you are making huge progress towards preventing your risk of heart attack and stroke!
Just like there’s a lot of misinformation about what we should eat to lower our blood sugar & A1C, there’s a lot of misinformation about what we should eat to lower our cholesterol.
Most everyone we work with inside the program sees a reduction in their triglycerides and improvements in their cholesterol ratios by the end of our 12 weeks together, despite eating cholesterol-rich foods like eggs, beef, shellfish and butter.
In fact, many members reduce or discontinue their blood pressure medications midway through the program as their blood pressure normalizes, and many others reduce or discontinue statins as their cholesterol improves!
There’s a reason Type 2 Diabetes and high cholesterol go hand-in-hand—they are related. They stem from the same root cause and respond positively to the same exact solution.
By repairing your blood sugar & A1C, you are making huge progress towards preventing your risk of heart attack and stroke.
How is this different from keto?
First of all, there’s no such thing as a “keto diet” or a “keto food”—ketosis is a metabolic state. When a person is in “nutritional ketosis”, it means they are burning fat instead of sugar for fuel. We want the metabolic flexibility to burn BOTH, and that’s exactly what we’ll teach you to do inside The T2T Program!
That being said, most people define a “keto diet” as being high in fat, moderate in protein and ultra low in carbohydrates. While The T2T Program is a low carb approach, we don’t ask our members to eat a particularly high-fat diet. We also don’t expect our members to remain in nutritional ketosis for 12 consecutive weeks. Instead, most people find themselves switching in and out of ketosis throughout our time together, which is much more natural and sustainable. 😉
Lastly, many keto diets fail to take food quality into account—some would call this “dirty keto”. We care deeply about food quality and emphasize clean, whole foods that won’t spike your blood sugar. We focus on the least restrictive (yet most effective) strategies to repair your blood sugar & A1C!
Can I make this work if I’m vegan, vegetarian, or plant-based?
This is NOT a vegan, vegetarian or plant-based approach. If you’re unwilling to eating SOME form of animal protein (eggs, poultry, seafood…your choice), then this will not be a suitable program for you.
This is NOT a vegan, vegetarian or plant-based approach. If you’re unwilling to eating SOME form of animal protein (eggs, poultry, seafood…your choice), then this will not be a suitable program for you.
My A1C is REALLY high. Will this work for me?
Those ultra-high numbers are really fun for us to work with because we tend to see significant improvements in a relatively short period of time! It’s not uncommon for someone with an A1C over 12 to have an A1C in the 6’s by the end of our three months together.
How will I lose weight if I’m not watching my calories or portions?
Weight loss has more to do with insulin than calories! When insulin is HIGH, we store fat. When insulin is LOW, we burn fat. Inside The T2T Program, you’ll learn how to harness the power of LOW insulin so you can burn body fat while repairing your blood sugar & A1C…no calorie-counting, deprivation or portion control required! 🥳
What if I’m underweight/do NOT want to lose any more weight?
If you’d like to lower your blood sugar & A1C while maintaining your current body weight, we will happily modify The T2T Program to suit your needs. A fraction of our members fall under this category and do wonderfully!
Do I have to test my blood sugar?
No—if you prefer not to test your blood sugar, you can simply trust the process and follow the guidelines in The T2T Program. However, you won’t be able to see how your blood sugar responds to various foods unless you test! If you’d like to monitor your blood sugar without pricking your finger, we can help you get a CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) at a discounted price.
I have Type 1 or Type 1.5 Diabetes. Is this suitable for me?
The T2T Program was created for people with Pre-Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes. However, if you have Type 1 or 1.5 and are overweight, struggle to maintain a healthy A1C and/or suspect you have “double diabetes” (insulin resistance in addition to Type 1 or 1.5), this may be a good fit for you.
It’s important to note that people with Type 1 and 1.5 Diabetes require insulin injections because their pancreas does not produce enough insulin. People with Type 2 Diabetes produce plenty of insulin, but they’ve developed a resistance to it. Insulin resistance is reversible, whereas Type 1 or 1.5 Diabetes is not.
Understanding how to control your blood sugar is crucial regardless which type you have, and we will teach you how to do that inside The T2T Program.
Do I need to buy anything special?
Nope! This is a very customizable, real food approach. You’ll simply take our guidelines & put your own spin on them, using ingredients and flavors YOU enjoy. Between the resources included in The T2T Program and what other members share on a daily basis, there are thousands of recipes and resources available to keep things exciting!
Are supplements required?
Not at all—we’ve helped thousands of people lower their blood sugar & A1C without supplements. That being said, we’re happy to create a customized supplement protocol for you if you’d like.
Do I continue taking my medications? How do I know when to stop?
Because The T2T Program is so effective at lowering blood sugar levels, you may need to have your medications adjusted during your time in the program. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) most often indicates that it’s time to reduce or discontinue some of your medications, which is very exciting! However, we cannot give medical advice, so you should speak with your doctor about reducing or stopping your medications as soon as you experience any low blood sugar readings or notice your blood sugar has dropped significantly.
Is this just meal plans?
We do not provide meal plans and here’s why: We want to give you ALL the information & skills you need to succeed in life, now and in the future. Meal plans don’t teach people anything about how various foods impact their blood sugar & A1C. When people run out of meal plans, they’re often confused about what to eat and fail to keep their numbers down.
We believe in the old adage, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”.
Furthermore, one-size-fits-all meal plans fail to take food sensitivities, food allergies, personal taste preferences and individual health goals into account. Instead of meal plans, we’ll teach you how to repair your blood sugar & A1C using flavors and ingredients YOU enjoy!
What if I’m picky or have food allergies?
We’ve had great success working with self-proclaimed “picky eaters” and individuals with food sensitivities! You don’t have to eat anything you don’t like or don’t tolerate—in fact, we want you to enjoy everything you eat! Unless you’re unwilling to eat some form of animal protein (seafood, chicken, eggs, beef, pork, etc.), we can make this work for you. The only person this program is NOT suitable for is a strict vegan or vegetarian who is unwilling to eat some form of animal protein.
What time are the Group Coaching Calls on Zoom?
We offer Group Coaching Calls 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) at a variety of times—mornings, afternoons and evenings! These calls are totally optional, but a great opportunity to get additional support from our team of Functional Nutritionists and feedback from other members. Replays are available instantly inside The T2T Facebook Group.
What’s the time commitment?
Each week, you’ll login to The Membership Site to access trainings and resources explaining exactly what to do. You can expect to dedicate 20 minutes-1 hour to the program every week (with the exception of Week 1, which has a bit more to cover!). Most people login to The Membership Site just once per week.
Is this covered by insurance/FSA/HSA/Flex spending accounts?
While The T2T Program is not covered by health insurance, individuals who have a dedicated health savings account provided by their employer (such as an FSA, HSA or Flex Spending Account) can often use these funds to purchase the program. The receipt will be from “Mallory Nowak Nutrition & Wellness”, so it will be clear your purchase is health-related. Please email hello@mallorynowak.com if your employer needs more information or a Letter of Medical Necessity to approve this purchase.
How do I know this will work when nothing has before?
This works because we focus on the most effective, science-based strategies to reverse insulin resistance by keeping insulin levels persistently LOW. Not only does this result in “insulin sensitivity” (the ultimate goal), but it’s the only REAL solution to Pre-Diabetes & Type 2 Diabetes. Portion control, calorie counting, exercise, plant-based diets and The Mainstream Guidelines fail to do this.
How long does it take to get results? What should I expect?
Within 1-2 weeks, most people report lower blood sugar readings. Within 1 month, many people report weight loss and see improvements in their symptoms (reduced inflammation, more energy, better sleep, less hunger, fewer cravings, improved vision, less neuropathy, etc). It’s not uncommon for individuals to have their blood sugar and/or blood pressure medications reduced or discontinued midway through the program. By the end of 3-4 months, over 99% of people report a lower A1C. 💪🏻💪🏽💪🏿
What happens after the 12 weeks?
When you graduate from The Type 2 Transformation Program, you’ll have all the information & skills you need to continue thriving on your own! You also get LIFETIME ACCESS to all the lessons & resources The Membership Site. If you’d like continued access to your coaches and peers through the Group Coaching Calls and T2T Facebook Group, you’ll have an opportunity to renew your membership for a small monthly fee.
